AI Transparency & Disclosure
Complying with the EU AI Act

AI-Powered Data Collection
Strike Tracker uses AI agents to continuously monitor and collect strike data across multiple countries. Our system scans news outlets, union press releases, government announcements, and official transport notifications to identify and compile information about industrial actions.
All content on Strike Tracker — including strike alerts, summaries, impact assessments, blog posts, quarterly reports, statistics, and infographics — is generated, compiled, or derived by AI systems. This applies to the website, iOS app, Android app, and all related services.
EU AI Act Compliance (Article 50)
In accordance with Article 50 of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), we disclose the following:
- Users are interacting with content that is generated by artificial intelligence.
- Strike summaries, impact assessments, descriptions, blog posts, and statistical reports are synthesized by AI systems, not written by human journalists or analysts.
- Our AI system is classified as limited risk under the EU AI Act, as it generates informational content with transparency obligations (Article 50), rather than falling under prohibited or high-risk categories.
AI Systems & Providers
Strike Tracker currently uses the following AI technologies:
- OpenAI API (GPT models) — for data extraction, summarization, and content generation from public sources.
We may add or change AI providers in the future. This page will be updated accordingly.
No Guarantee of Accuracy
Strike Tracker does not claim that the information presented is accurate, complete, or up-to-date.
AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or misinterpretations of source material. Strike situations are inherently dynamic — actions may be called off, extended, postponed, or modified at any time, and the App may not reflect these changes immediately or at all.
You should always verify information independently through official sources before making decisions — including travel plans, work arrangements, or business operations. See our Terms of Use for the full disclaimer and limitation of liability.
Human Oversight
Strike Tracker employs a combination of automated and manual processes:
- AI agents perform the initial collection, extraction, and summarization of strike data from public sources.
- Manual review is performed on a portion of entries. Not every individual entry has been human-reviewed before publication.
- User-reported issues are investigated and corrected when flagged through our contact form.
This means some entries may be published based solely on AI processing. We are transparent about this because we believe honesty about our process is more valuable than a false claim of full human verification.
Derived Content: Blog Posts & Statistics
Our blog posts, quarterly reports, infographics, and statistical analyses are generated from AI-collected data. These publications:
- Are based on the same AI-gathered strike data displayed in the App
- May not capture all strikes that occurred in a given period
- Should be treated as indicative, not authoritative
- Carry the same accuracy limitations as the underlying data
Data Provenance
Our AI agents are configured to prioritize information from official and credible public sources, including:
- Official Aviation Authorities: ENAC (Italy), FAA (USA), DGAC (France), etc.
- Transport Operators: National rail services (SNCF, DB, NS), airlines, and airport authorities.
- Trade Unions: Official press releases from major unions (Ver.di, CGT, Unite, etc.).
- Government & Regulatory Bodies: Labor ministry announcements and official gazettes.
Where available, source citations are included on individual strike detail pages.
