Rome: Aviation Services ground-handling strike on 13 September 2026 (11:00–15:00)

Staff at Aviation Services, a ground-handling company operating at Rome's Fiumicino and Ciampino airports, are scheduled to strike for four hours on Sunday 13 September 2026, from 11:00 to 15:00, in an action called by FAST Confsal. Aviation Services provides ramp and passenger services — including check-in, boarding and baggage handling — for a number of airlines at both airports.

During the strike window, passengers may face delays at check-in and boarding and slower baggage delivery on affected flights. Flights in the protected time bands (07:00–10:00 and 18:00–21:00) operate normally. A separate 24-hour strike by airport security staff is scheduled at both Rome airports on the same day, so travellers should allow extra time throughout the day and check their flight status before departure.
