London Underground (RMT) driver strikes: May walkouts suspended, new dates set for 2 and 4 June 2026
Last Updated:
RMT announced a series of 24-hour walkouts by London Underground train drivers in dispute with TfL over a proposed compressed four-day working week. The April 21-24 strikes went ahead; the planned 19-22 May walkouts were suspended at the 11th hour following breakthrough talks with Transport for London, and the 16 and 18 June dates have also been called off. The dispute is not resolved โ RMT has set provisional new 24-hour strike dates for 2 and 4 June 2026 if no agreement is reached.
