Harvard graduate workers set April 21 strike if talks fail

Harvard Graduate Student Union–United Auto Workers announced it will begin a strike on April 21, 2026 if the university does not meet demands on wages, protections for non-citizen workers, and third‑party arbitration in harassment cases. The union says a recent strike authorization vote passed with nearly 96% support and the walkout would disrupt teaching, grading, and research across the university.
